Thanks for the comment Puntzy.

I respect your comment questioning if marriage is joined by God, or about the moral quality of the ministers. However I see a strong connection of your comment with your assumption when you revealed it at your last few sentences "I'm not going to stay in a bad marriage even if it kills me."

The truth is that it does not matter if the minister is moral or not, there is no special mystical power dished out by ministers upon solomization, no matter how pure or how moral they may be. Couples who are married by the most holy person experience hardship too. The difference is how they both chose to stick together no matter what.

The institution of marriage is ordained by God. This means that when you are married, this becomes God's choice for you. It is God's intention that a marriage never break apart. It may be a bad choice, but you chose it. Now it becomes the commitment to live with it and work with the other person.

There is always a dime a dozen reasons to split. The problem lies not in the minister, or on God, but the problem lies in the couple's understanding of the word called "commitment". So what does "till death do us part" mean to you? I understand that I would be opening a big can of worms, and many would like to offer their painful (and valid) stories in order to make a statement of exception. However we need to question our intention before we wish to apply for exceptions. If the reasons cited seeks only to fortify our personal bais, I believe that those reasons then become mere excuses.

I suppose my views are indeed unpopular. But they are nonetheless what God thinks of the insitution of marriage.

I guess the phrase what God has put together let no man put asunder has to be in regards to divorce. I am not questioning God's word but I don't think it is intended to be under any circumstances. So, if a man does not treat his wife as his own flesh, does the wife not have the right or common sense to decide if she should live like this her entire life? What if the marriage wasn't joined by God. A lot of priest and ministers do not live up the word of God, so their works are not always blessed. In that case, I doubt God is working through their hands. Therefore, if they performed a wedding ceremony, would God through their unrepented sins still join the couple together. I may not be making total sense here but these ideas/words cant be hard and fast. I hope it isn't. I'm not going to stay in a bad marriage even if it kills me. So, if I leave and come short of the Glory of God, then I lay my hand and body forward and bear the sin.

Yup! It was a big misconception to think that Martha does not love Jesus, but loved her work more. It is certainly comforting to be reminded that God know our hearts and He acknowledges our efforts.

God did promise us too, that when we seek Him with all our heart, we will surely find Him (Jer. 29:13). This should make our wait easier too! But somehow we seem to trust the bus app more than we trust God. This should not be the case!
